INFORMATION

Life can change in a day — and change forever. The sudden loss of a job, a medical emergency, domestic violence… these are just some of the factors that can cause families with children to end up homeless.

But while the factors that contribute to homelessness can happen suddenly, solutions are more complex. Homeless families need more than a place to stay. Parents often need help completing school or job training. They usually need employment. Children need counseling to overcome trauma, or intensive tutoring to help get them to their grade level. And of course, the health and safety of the children must be a paramount concern.

Communities and churches are part of the solution. So are affordable housing and job training programs. Ultimately, we all have a role to play in ensuring a safe and healthy future for children and families. And you can help today.
